The Homing Project is a local nonprofit that is addressing the crisis of homelessness in Tucson using a combined strategy of supplying temporary 64 sq. ft. prefabricated mini homes and providing wrap around health and social support services. On November 21, 2023, SALT and the Homing Project entered into a two-year lease for utilization of SALT’s property with the option to extend for an additional two years. There is no land lease rent being charged to The Homing Project.
